Last Friday, Curtis Homes had the pleasure of speaking with homeowners Katie and Jeremy on our Instagram Live series; Five Minute Fridays. Katie and Jeremy built a home with Curtis Homes in June of 2018 and followed our Pre-Sold Process.
Below is a short overview and recap of our conversation surrounding their homebuilding experience.
Q: What was your favorite part of building a home with Curtis Homes?
A: The whole process was fun! It was rewarding seeing our ideas come to life. Building a home seemed extremely daunting, but being apart of the process was great.
Q: What is your favorite feature in your home?
A: Our kitchen wall with floating shelves! Also, having the master bedroom downstairs and the kids’ rooms upstairs is nice.
Q: What was something challenging about the homebuilding process?
A: Envisioning the space and thinking through all of the small details, ie) where do we want outlets, light switches etc. We should have done some more research.
Q: Can you offer any advice to those looking to build a new home?
A: Really think through how you are going to use the space and do your research. Patience is key! As for couples, make sure you are both on the same page and communicate through each decision.
